About Nastia

ANASTASIA “NASTIA” GODDARD is an artist based in Chicago and (soon to be) New York City. Her love of storytelling can be attributed to her experiences growing up in a chaotic, blended family that frequently relocated across the country. Raised by a Russian immigrant, a Coast Guard veteran, and a scientist/modern dancer, Nastia has a passion for discovering and understanding the heart of what makes every individual unique.

Nastia is currently a senior at Northwestern University pursuing a B.A. in Theatre with a Music Theatre Certificate and a double major in Creative Writing (Non-Fiction). She has also trained at the British American Drama Academy, Actors Gymnasium (circus and gymnastics), and Trinity Repertory Company. Nastia is a proud alumna of Walnut Hill School for the Arts (Theater Major), where she was honored to receive the Friendship Award.

Her most rewarding (and goofiest) work has been as President and Ensemble Member of the award-winning Griffin’s Tale Children’s Repertory Theatre Company. She is also a proud member of the neo-futurist group TBD and Internal Development Chair of Vertigo Productions, NU’s premier theatre board dedicated to producing student-written plays.

Nastia is praised for her versatility as an actor, characterized by her ability to empathize profoundly with every role and uplift her scene partners. She is known for her sharp comedic timing, fearlessness, facility with complex language, and passionate work ethic. Nastia is interested in collaborating on projects that push the bounds of what theatre can be. She loves to defy gender stereotypes and explore masculinity/femininity in all its extremes. She believes in the power of uplifting new voices and forms, excavating and re-examining the past, using the body as a narrator, and relentlessly pursuing self-reflection. Being a good human is the only way to make meaningful art.

Nastia is currently seeking theatrical and commercial representation.
